All drawing and processing materials are provided and additional aluminium plates are available to buy. Please bring your sketchbook and notebook.
Like many printing processes, solvents are used in lithography, so bring a respirator if you have one. If you don’t but would like to invest in one, please ask for a recommendation.
The course is a practical introduction to lithography. The beginning of the workshop is devoted to the demonstration of processing and printing. It is from this fundamental understanding of the theory that the exploration of the many techniques of traditional printing from can be achieved.
Advice about papers most suitable for lithography is provided during the course.
