Our Printers
The Lemonade Press was founded in 2020 by Catherine Ade and is the only art studio in Bristol offering lithography.
Since opening we have expanded and now have two presses and a ball-graining machine. We run editions with artists, undertake classes and grain plates for universities , artists and print studios.
We have two printers, who we introduce below.
Catherine Ade
Catherine Ade is an artist and printmaker who has an MA in Multi-disciplinary Printmaking from UWE, Bristol and has also trained at Tamarind Institute for Lithography.
Prior to establishing The Lemonade Press in 2020, Catherine worked for 6 years as a lithographer at The Curwen Studio, London, where she made editions in collaboration with artists.
Catherine runs the artist residencies at The Lemonade Press.
Steph Turnbull
Stephanie Turnbull is an experienced printmaker having completed her professional Tamarind training at the Tamarind Institute, New Mexico, back in 2010. She also completed an MA in Multi-disciplinary Printmaking at UWE.
Stephanie has been collaborating with artists since completing her Tamarind training and spent 5 years in London collaborating with artists at the Curwen Studio. Technical research is the driving force behind her own practice. She is passionate about printmaking, and enjoys sharing her technical expertise with others.
Open-Access
The Lemonade Press offers a membership system for printmakers. This allows artists to use the studio when required in order to facilitate their own printmaking.

Independent
We are an independent art studio located just off Gloucester Road, Bristol. We recognise the importance of working one-on-one with the artist, with quality and attention to detail being a primary concern.
